Saxophone ensemble : narrator

(1 sopranino, 2 sopranos, 3 altos, 3 tenors, 2 baritones, 1 bass)

The narrator's part should be spoken by a female narrator, preferably in a Massachusetts or New England accent.

To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee,
There came a Wind like a Bugle -
Winter under cultivation
The Bobolink is gone - the Rowdy of the meadow -

During the performance images of prairies were projected on to the sceen, which can be seen suspended at the back of the stage, above the ensemble.
